Afenmai, are a group of people living in the Northern part of Edo State of Nigeria and popularly known as Etsakor, Iyekhee or Yekhee people. The Binis identify them as Ivbiosakon people.
In the British colonial era, they were derogatory called Kukuruku, supposedly after a battle cry "ku-ku-ruku", but that term is now desist.
Afemai people occupy six (6) Local Government Areas (LGA) of Edo State:
- Etsako West - with Auchi as the headquarters
